Set in the city that never sleeps, CSI: New York is a spin-off from the hugely popular CSI series. Following on from Vegas and Miami, this CSI has a distinct New York City flavour and style. Dealing with a city with a three hundred year history and eight million residents is a whole different ball game... Season Five - Part Two of CSI: New York continues where Part One left off. It also clears up the plot threads left hanging. This box set contains 13 more episodes. Highlights in this collection include: Rush to Judgement: Flak is under investigation after a teenager dies in his custody. Meanwhile body parts of a local college wrestling coach start to turn up around the city. When the CSI team investigate they discover that pornographic pictures of a teenager had been e-mailed from the dead man's computer to some of his wrestling team. No Good Deed: When a bird drops a human eyeball into Stella's coffee, the team try to track down the rest of the body. Green Piece: When a van explodes, in a street in which Adam and his friends are playing Hockey, it destroys the home of the owner of a recycling company. His daughter, an environmentalist, is killed in the explosion. Point of No Return: The wife of a former medical examiner turns up dead. Sid, who knew the victim, is too upset to go through with the autopsy. But as the team investigate a strange powder found at the murder scene it soon becomes clear that someone is killing their victims in order to extract heroin from their organs. Yahrzeit: During a jewellery auction a man staggers into the room bleeding. He dies, but his injuries seem to indicate he has been shot and stabbed in the same place. When Mac and his team investigate they soon discover that black market items from Jewish Holocaust victims are being bought and sold. Edward Asner stars as a Jewish man who is a Holocaust survivor with a secret. Greater Good: Despite it being an open and shut case, Mac goes above and beyond the call of duty to prove a man who has been in prison for two years is actually innocent. Two years ago the man hit and killed a young when her bike shot across the path of his car. He pleaded guilty (even though it was a tragic accident) and was sent to jail. Now Mac is determined to get to the truth. Pay Up: In this season's finale two important events occur. A cop is killed... and the show ends on a cliffhanger that may see members of the CSI team dead. Extras include three behind the scenes featurettes that detail the entire process of producing an episode, as well as a look at the celebrations for the 100th episode. These include Pre-Production: Planning the Perfect Murder (24 min, 12 sec); Production: Shoot to Kill (18 min, 15 sec); Post-Production: Crime Scene Clean-Up (18 min, 26 sec); and Celebrating 100: Evidence of a Hit (5 min, 16 sec). This collection contains a great mix of episodes and is well worth adding to your collection. 8 Amber Leigh |
