The Eurofighter is a next generation multirole fighter. It's a single-seat, twin-engine, agile combat aircraft which is designed to be used in air-to-air, air-to-ground and tactical reconnaissance roles... With the Eurofighter Typhoon V2 the developer, AFS-Design, has published a considerably improved version of the aircraft. The external model was completely re-worked and the cockpit has been equipped with numerous new displays and functions. The number of liveries has also been increased to 48 different versions (including German air force; special livery 50 years JG73 and 5 years Eurofighter; RAF; Italian, Spanish, Australian and Saudi Arabian air forces as well as a number of prototype versions). Also included is a model of the aircraft being pulled along the taxiway by a MAN tug. Single and two-seater variants are included, as well as a trainer version and a model with external fuel tanks. There are also a number of animations built into the aircraft (including detailed undercarriage, aerial refueling system) and effects (like afterburner, smoke and light effects, reflective surfaces and rear-view mirror). The attention to detail is staggering, especially when you consider how many variants you are getting here. For those how enjoy flying modern aircraft in Flight Sim, it doesn't get more impressive than this. 8 Nick Smithson |
