Franz Ferdinand are a rock band that formed in Glasgow, Scotland in 2002. Named after Archduke Franz Ferdinand of Austria, the band comprises Alex Kapranos (lead vocals and guitar), Bob Hardy (bass guitar), Nick McCarthy (rhythm guitar, keyboards and backing vocals), and Paul Thomson (drums, percussion and backing vocals).

They first experienced chart success with their second single 'Take Me Out' reaching number 3 in the UK charts. This was followed by their debut album, Franz Ferdinand, where it climbed to number 3 in the UK album charts. The band have won various awards including the 2004 Mercury Music Prize, two Brit Awards in 2005 and NME named them as their album of the year.

‘Can’t Stop Feeling’ is the third single taken from their third album, Tonight: Franz Ferdinand, which was released in January 2009 and reached number 2 in the UK charts.

This single includes the Radio Mix, Album Version and ‘Die On The Floor’.

I love the big bass opening, it’s deep, bold and in your face. As always Alex Kapranos’s vocals are faultless and full of depth. This single has a rush about it; there’s so much going on but it all works superbly well.

‘Die On The Floor’ is taken from their ‘dub’ version of Tonight: Franz Ferdinand, entitled Blood. I like this version of the single it has good rhythm, and again I love the bass on this track. It has a strange lightness about it whilst also feeling dark at the same time.

As always with Franz Ferdinand, this is a top-notch single and yet another to add to your growing collection.
