Skinny Lister are a five piece band made up of Daniel Heptinstall, lead vocalist and acoustic guitar; Lorna Thomas, vocals; Dan Gray, double bass and ukelele; Samuel Brace, electric guitar and vocals and Max Thomas, melodeon.

‘Plough & Orion’ is their debut single, which was picked up by 6 Music.

This is a feel good track, bringing folk music alive. The vocals are light and the harmonies are beautiful, especially Thomas’s vocals which would add warmth and energy to any summer night.

I love the instruments used, they all fit really well together and the melody is catchy.
