Danny Krivit is a legendary NYC DJ who has 35 plus years of Djing history. As one third of Body and Soul, with global legends Francois K and Joe Claussell, their shows consistently sell out major club venues in NYC, London and Tokyo. And keeping up with this tradition, are Krivit's 'Best Party in NYC' 718 sessions.

At one of New York's best new club venues, Santos Party House, Krivit holds his bi-monthly 718 sessions where he is not only Djing but is responsible for the creative aspects of the party with the design of the flyers and merchandise.

It's Krivit's trademark re-edits that give him the edge in the Djing world and make him internationally recognised on the club scene.

718 Sessions is the new compilation from Krivit which sees classics, hidden gems and bonafide hits such as Jazzy Jeff, Kings Of Tomorrow, Roy Ayers, Kim English and Louie Vega.

The opening track 'U know That I Love U' is a cool funky dance beat. The rhythm and tune to this club starter are funky and sophisticated. I love the vocals and this is a sure bet on getting any party started.

'Run' opens with some great percussion and some uplifting mood tunes. Again the vocals are second to none. Loving this vibe, especially the jazzy feel of the brass in the background.

A little slower in beat is 'Spread Love'. This is a really sophisticated sounding beat. The piano adds to this feel and I love the keyboards.

Bringing a little Latin/African feel to the album is 'Selene (The Goddess Of The Moon)'. The beat is strong which fits with the strong female vocals yet at the same time it's so soulful. Loving it.

'And God Created Woman' again, is soulful and the vocals are to die for. I love the backing singers too. The melody is just as good, in fact there is nothing not to like about this tune.

'House Of Tribe' is another banging beat. This is pure percussion and melody. It has a sense of darkness and mystery to it too. Love it.

A little slower is 'Another Day', there is a sense of calm with this beat. The chords played on the melody are graceful and catchy and a little jazz sound comes into play. Vocals are lighter and more airy.

'Brand New Feeling' has a sophisticated sound. The beats and rhythm have that 60s vibe to them making this a funky little number to get your feet moving on that dance floor.

A French vibe comes with 'Dance (Beats)'. It's a little faster and the quick sharp sound of an organ played in beats makes this track stand out.

'Disorganized Corruption' is just that. The beat is mixed with what sounds like whale noises. Very weird but in a cool kind of way!

'Peace Pipe' is pure funk set to a good strong beat. The woodwind makes this song its own and the melody could be something out of a '60s cop show like Shaft. This is coolness beyond belief.

Back to the club classic sounds it's 'Nothing's Impossible'. The vocal rhymes are cool and I love this melody. This should really get everyone up dancing.

Carrying on with the vibe of the club classic, is 'That's What Love Is'. This is mixed together really well with the vocals melting into the music.

Rounding up this party session is 'We Can Make It'. This has a little of everything from coolness to funk and some jazzy sounding vibes. A perfect end to a great CD.

Krivit doesn't disappoint with this mix, this has really put me in the clubbing mood and I'm ready to get my coat and find the places they're playing these tunes!
