Anyone who hasn't already seen 17 Again should rush out and buy it now. It's a romantic comedy that combines the best elements of Back to the Future and Big. Sure it's a little cheesy in places, but on the whole this is a good old fashioned family movie. One of the most pivotal moments of the film is the moving scene in which our hero realises that he was right to throw away his chance of a career in professional basketball for the girl he loves. But this scene would be flat without Rolfe Kent's impressive score. While this is a comedy, not once does Kent attempt to provide comical music (thank goodness). So what we end up with is a good solid score which you can listen to as a stand alone album without having to skip cheesy tracks. Highlights, for me, include 'Mike Realises', the central theme to 'Mike is Wistful'; the beautiful but short 'Sex Ed'; the gorgeous theme in 'Mark Cheers Maggie'; and 'Suddenly She Knows'. My only complaint is that at under 30 minutes in length, this soundtrack left me wanting more. 9 Darren Rea Buy this item online
