At long last Saving Aimee are here to release their long awaited debut album We're The Good Guys. The six-piece London band have been so busy in 2009, from setting up their own label, 'Hey You' to releasing their single 'We Are The Good Guys' earlier this year.

After such positive feedback on the release of the single, the band found themselves appearing on BBC2's switch show as well as getting air time on Radio 1, Kerrang Radio and being the headline act of the Red Bull Stage at this summer's under-age festival.

We're The Good Guys comprises of 11 pop-punk tracks, which all have such energy that take your breath away.

A small taster for the album is heard in the intro, a 45 sec. piece, to get the listeners warmed up.

'Honesty Is The Policy' really kick starts this album off. It's a fast paced, up beat tempo track with guitar riffs a plenty and a catchy melody that will stick in your head for days! The vocals are full of passion and energy. This is one of the best opener tracks I've heard on an album all year!

Carrying on with the up beat tempo is 'We're The Good Guys'. Again, this is another catchy tune with lots of synth mixed in with some great guitar and vocals. Everyone will be singing along to the 'woah's' and jumping around the dance floor.

'Fresh Since '88' is a little slower but still packs a punch. There is so much going on in this song and I love the melodic chorus, it has a great feel of the eighties about it.

The quirky intro to 'Level On Up' sees echoey vocals and a distorted synth before breaking into the vocals. Look out for the guitar solo a 1 min, 50 sec - it simply blows your mind.

'Boredom' is slower paced, yet the energy levels never fail to impress. This track is laden with guitar riffs, good melody and cool synth throughout.

Sounding like a choir, the opening of 'High Fives' is so different from the other tracks on this album, this then moves into an up-tempo uniform sounding beat. Again the vocals and guitars don't disappoint. This is jammed packed with guitar solos, riffs, vocal harmonies and great synth.

'VIP' has a cool crisp sound and the beat is quirky. Although still present the synth has been stripped back and opens this song up to be more rock pop than punk. The bass is perfect and brings this song into its own.

'Small Talk' is an extremely fast paced track, with high-speed vocals, which I'm sure teens all over will be trying to mimic and outdo each other. This is a catchy tune with some fun sounding synth thrown into the mix.

Slower and a little darker sounding is 'Down For The Count'. Not as high energy as previous tracks on this album, you can feel it winding down. This is still a great track though, with a catchy tune.

The finale to the album, 'Hold On', is a serious wind down. It's a sophisticated sounding track with some great harmonies and is quite emotional. The vocals, especially toward the end, are fantastic and really show of what this band is all about.

Saving Aimee certainly know how to entertain audiences and with this album you can feel the rush they get from performing. Their energy and vibe is second to none and being such a young band they aren't afraid of being diverse in their sound.

I love this band from their passion alone, the music is an added bonus. To see them live must be an experience and one I may have to partake in.
