Jumping out of your TV and onto the comics pages comes Batman and his brave and bold allies. In these thrilling tales, the Caped Crusader and his fellow crime fighters time-warp with the Time Lord, jab the Queen of Fables with a strong dose of reality, and even elect Batman as the President of the United States. This collection teams the Dark Knight with Green Arrow, Plastic Man, Blue Beetle, Aquaman and many others...

Batman: The Brave and the Bold collects together issues #1-6 of the comic book series which is based on the animated TV series.

This is Batman dumbed down about as far as humanly possible, no doubt to appeal to the youngest of readers who enjoy the animated TV series. I was a little confused by the inclusion of pointless tales which seemed to go nowhere. There's a really lame two-page story featuring Superman and a two-page story that sees Batman up against a villain in a museum - the ending to which just left me scratching my head. I got it but I just didn't see the point to it.

After each story there's some interesting information on the allies and villains Batman met during that tale - useful if you're new to the Batman universe.

This is not a collection I'd recommend to anyone whose older than about 12. While I'm sure younger readers will enjoy this, I thought the dumbing down was a little pointless - especially as it will alienate more mature fans of the show.
