Lonnie Beale is a singing rodeo cowboy who finds himself in a dude ranch full of beautiful, wealthy women...

Tickle Me (1965 - 1 hr, 27 min, 02 sec) is a comedy film directed by Elwood Ullman.

Oh dear, what to say about another Elvis film? I hope the poor man made a lot of money out of these things as they were generally dire affairs. Tickle Me is no exception, with a paper thin plot being used as an excuse to have Elvis sing a bunch of songs. The sad thing was that given good material Elvis wasn’t a half bad actor, but most of his films were like this one, substandard and insubstantial.

The plot is immaterial here and the only thing which really goes anyway to saving the film is Elvis’s leading lady Julie Adams (Vera Radford) who puts in a good show as the love interest. The songs are pretty good, but that is because they were not written for the film, rather they are taken from Elvis’s own back catalogue, this way the film could save money.

So there you have it another Elvis film, the man exudes good charm and is very watchable as an actor, but the weaknesses of the film overwhelms whatever the actors or musicians can bring to the table.

The disc is presented in a reasonable aspect Ratio: 2.35: 1 with print which is grainy, but mostly free from any defects. There are no extras.
