The Stopmotion Men are a three piece, larger-than-life, rock band who come from Cardiff. Geraint Connor is the lead vocalist with awe inspiring vocals, Hywel Jenkins plays bass like you've never heard before and finally, Ben Wilson is on the drums and piano which he owns and commands.

Since 2006, when they first began, this band have gained airplay on South Wales radio and Sky TV as well as supporting bands such as The Crimea, The Automatic, The Feeling and Zane Lowe.

Getting ready for the release of their brand new EP, the guys have been locked away in the studio working with respected producer Greg Haver (Manic Street Preachers, Super Furry Animals, Lost Prophets).

What Now? Is The Stopmotion Men's new EP which lists 3 tracks and is driven by a string quartet, multiple keyboard effects and the mesmerizing vocals of Connor.

The title track, 'What Now?', commands to be listened to with the writhing vocals and a militaristic drumming style. It's a great tune full of life and emotion which works its way up to an intense crescendo in the outro.

'Spit And Chew' delivers yet another intensely rich song. Opening on a big crescendo it dips to a hush where it works back up to the drumming and bass crashing together and swirling around the vocals.

Going back to basics is 'Hurt You', with vocals laid bare and open to the vulnerability of love. Connor pulls listeners into his sorrow, put together with the string quartet, subtle piano and the power of the drums and there you have it; a powerful, emotive track.

I love that The Stopmotion Men seem to play with ease yet portray strong feelings in their sound. These are definitely a band to keep your eye on.
