Mychael Danna’s rich evocative score to Atom Egoyan’s sexually charged melodrama. The soundtrack to Chole, like the majority of composer Mychael Danna's scores, showcases numerous beautiful themes. It never over uses any of the themes and it also finds time to dip its toe into jazz-based waters. Almost every track has something different that makes it work well as an interesting piece of standalone music, but when combined this makes for a very powerful collection.

'Windsor Arms' contains one of this scores most beautiful themes (which starts to build at the 1 min, 30 sec mark); likewise the latter half of 'Conservatory' builds around the same theme, but takes a completely different approach.

I was a little surprised to hear that during the jazz influenced 'Touch You' the wind instrument, which plays the main melody, seems to be a little too raspy. It may be intentional, but it detracted slightly from an otherwise wonderful piece.

'Your Parents Room' (7 min, 54 sec) is an interesting track which revisits a lot of this albums main themes.

While not quite as impressive as Danna's music (which he co-wrote with his brother Jeff) for The Imaginarium Of Doctor Parnassus and Tideland, Chloe is still an interesting score that will please his fans.
