Intertwining electronic hip hop and African rapping to ease listeners in to a different style of music is Richy Pitch with his brand new single 'Blackstar'.

Coming from Ghana this is an apt name as their national football team are called The Black Stars and when they play the entire country becomes fanatic about them. Hopefully this will ring true for Richy Pitch; I can't see a problem as long as he doesn't forget his Ghanaian roots.

This is a true catchy tune and having previously lived in Ghana it brings back an array of good memories of the food, music and people.

The rhythm starts slow and is reminiscent of the old style electronica but as the tune progresses the faster paced it becomes until finally reaching the catchy chorus.

I like the vibe to this track, it's upbeat, pure and jumping.

This is just a taste of Richy Pitch's LP which is due for release in the summer (2010) entitled Ye Fre Mi Richy Pitch, which translates to 'My Name Is Richy Pitch'. I'll certainly be looking out for that.
