UK producer Ross Tones is Throwing Snow. His sound is a combination of dusty samples, crunchy electronics and swirling analog synths.

His debut release is ‘Un Vingt/Cronos’. ‘Un Vingt’ is a mix of strong beats with soft mesmerising synths and an underlying percussion running on and off throughout this track. It’s a sophisticated sound and has an element of being chilled out.

‘Cronos’ has a much more awakening feel; its striated beats churn out the tune in a chaotic fashion and leave a lot to be desired.

I’m not too sure where Throwing Snow is going with his music, is it futuristic? Old skool? I’m none the wiser. Unfortunately, this music is nondescript; it doesn’t go anywhere and I certainly won’t be rushing out to buy it.
