Fronted by Conor J. O'Brien, Villagers are an Irish band who have performed at several music festivals and toured with Tracy Chapman, Bell X1 and Tindersticks. Having released their debut album, Becoming A Jackal, earlier in the year (May 2010) they are back for more with the release of their second single taken from the aforementioned album.

'Ship Of Promises' draws you in with its racy drumbeat, layered strings and mesmerizing melody. Of course not to mention the rough and raw vocals sung throughout this track. It's a very simple yet heartfelt song to listen to.

This single comes complete with a Radio Edit and Album Version. Both of which make for an entertaining listen.
