A new sound is on the horizon, something mysterious is coming. Hidden behind their eponymous ‘D’ logo is a group of like minded souls who have joined forces and tapped into the creative mainframe giving us an all new musical blueprint. Produced by Grammy award winning Dom Morley (linked with names such as Mark Ronson, Amy Winehouse and Adele) comes London’s new cool collective, Delooze with their brand new debut single, ‘Too Heavy To Stand Up’. Already having played at this year’s Isle Of Wight Festival (2010) and gone down a storm, Delooze are here to rock the nation with their sound; a mixture of trip hop, classical and electronica. ‘Too Heavy To Stand Up’ is an emotional high which takes us through lows followed by twist and turns which tug at the heartstrings and leave you wanting more. The vocals are strong and add to this the jaggy and forceful guitar this track really packs a punch. The harmonies and classical side to the single are just an added bonus. It has an almost cinematic soundtrack vibe going on. There’s nothing to not like. Released on the Gash Digital label this single comes with three versions; the radio edit, the original and a live version. 9 Helena Rea |
