Moviescore Media's digital album of Jeff Beal's score for Once Fallen showcases the composer's love for jazz, urban beats and a gritty, urban approach to tense drama and action scoring. Jeff Beal is best known for his score for Pollock, and his other credits include television scores such as Georgia O'Keefe, Nightmares & Dreamscapes, Rome, Carnivàle and Monk. Beal's score for Once Fallen balances its dark and gritty material with tender, beautiful and reflective moments... Jeff Beal's soundtrack to Once Fallen represents an interesting mix of jazz influenced themes. The main theme, which original appears in the album's first track 'Once Fallen' is woven neatly throughout this soundtrack. This album is full of chilled out music which is not unlike the work of Mark Isham. This is music your going to instantly love or dislike. Personally, while this isn't generally the type of soundtrack I'd rush out and buy, there were enough interesting themes to make it an enjoyable listening experience. 7 Darren Rea |
