It Takes a Thief collects together the highlights of 15 years of music from Rob Garza and Eric Hilton's Thievery Corporation. The duo have released five studio albums to date, selling over 1.5 million records since 1996. Their music has been used in film, TV and advertisements including True Blood, Entourage, Six Feet Under, CSI, Skyy Vodka, Jaguar, Lexus, EA Sports to name a few.

The musical styles this duo dabble in are varied but include dub, acid jazz, reggae, Indian classical, Middle Eastern, and Brazilian (bossa nova) with a lounge vibe. And this album represents a wonderful mix of what the duo has to offer.

From The Mirror Conspiracy (2000) we have 'Lebanese Blonde', 'Shadows of Ourselves' and 'Air Batucada'.

'Facing East', 'The Richest Man in Babylon', 'Until the Morning', 'All That We Perceive' and 'Exilio (Rewound)' are taken from 2002's The Richest Man in Babylon.

Taken from The Cosmic Game (2005) is 'Warning Shots', 'Satyam Shivam Sundaram', 'Amerimacka' and 'Holographic Universe'.

'Sound The Alarm', 'Vampires' and 'Sweet Tides' are taken from Radio Retaliation (2008).

The only track I couldn't place was The Passing Stars.

Overall this album's interesting mix of beats and styles makes it worth adding to your collection.
