This fourth collection of the much-loved comedy quiz programme contains three double volumes of I'm Sorry I Haven't a Clue - 12 episodes of the ultimate antidote to panel games, which includes the last compilation to feature Humphrey Lyttelton as host... I'm Sorry I Haven't a Clue: A Fourth Collection collects together the previously released volumes 10, 11 and 12 of this award winning series. Guests include Jeremy Hardy, Ross Noble, Andy Hamilton, Rob Brydon, Stephen Fry, Jack Dee, Sandi Toksvig, Tony Hawks and Linda Smith. While it's pretty obvious that this show is neatly scripted (or at the very least the contestants already know the questions before they start) that doesn't stop it from being one of the funniest shows on radio. If you're buying this collection to stick on your iPod, then be warned that these are simply the original CD volumes repacked in a cardboard box. The iPod tags that were originally written for the CDs are all over the place - so you may have a job locating them in your library. But that's not too much of an issue as you can easily rewrite them so that they are neatly stored together. Highlights in this collection include 'Lost Correspondence' between Davros and the Doctor; the rather odd take on 'Tic-Tac-Toe' (known here as 'Cat-Glass-Pudding'); Humph interrupting the guessing in 'Sound Charades' because Tim Brooke-Taylor gets the number of words in the title wrong; Rob Brydon singing the words to 'Anarchy in the UK' to the tune of 'Just When I Needed You Most'; and the Ann Widdecombe segment in 'In Their Own Words'. If you don't already own these three volumes, then this is the perfect excuse to purchase them. Sadly, these represent the last episodes released on CD that feature Humph. 9 Darren Rea |
