Life is pretty good in the town of Venture Falls - just ask Nick, Toby, Jessica and Lucas. These four average kids all share one BIG secret... Root of Evil collects episodes 7-11 of the show's first season (which is made up of 17 episodes in total): Outsiders; Black Salt Diamonds; Underwater Extinction; Root of Evil; and Shock to the System.

The show is based on the Italian 2-inch tall figures which are available in play sets. The story's fairly straightforward. Four children share a secret - that they are all able to transform into beasts that can harness one of the four elements (Water, Earth, Air and Forest) to fight for the causes of good. Each episode sees another challenge which the four must work together to overcome.

The animation, vocal talents and picture quality are all great, as you'd expect from a modern animated series. This is certainly a series that can be enjoyed by both the very young, and older children.
