Edinburgh five piece Letters release their new double sided single 'Grand National / Pipe Dreams' as a free to download single.

These free tracks are extremely promising - and certainly an indication that this is a band you should watch closely.

‘The Grand National’ is propelled by an urgent rhythm section, sewn with distinctive cellos, elastic bass lines, and threaded with Michael Ferguson’s evocative, twitching vocals.

‘Pipe Dreams’ is an all-together different animal, initially decidedly more stripped back its throbbing bass and stabbing cello notes.

Forget the fact these tracks are free, this is still a single I would advise buying if they went for the normal RRP. Personally, I'm eagerly awaiting their first album. Go on, click the link on the top of this review and hear these tracks for yourself - you won't regret it.
