The Henry Street label was originally established in New York in 1993 by Johnny "D" DeMairo. Now, nearly 20 years later, BBE Records is releasing a double CD collection of some of the label's old releases, as well as a number of previously unheard tracks... Henry Street Grooves - Classic Deep, Funky & Jazzy House from New York City is a compilation featuring eighteen tracks taken from the vaults of the Henry Street label. Sadly we've been asked to review an album without being given all the tracks. Of the 18 tracks on the finished 2 CD collection we received... er... eight. Which makes it practically impossible to weigh up whether this album is good value for money. Personally, I enjoyed the tracks supplied but as I'm missing over half the album it makes it hard for me to really recommend this. So... er... if you like House/Dance music then you may like this... er... then again, depending on what the other 10 tracks are like, you may not. 5 Nick Smithson Buy this item online
