Mickey Haller (Matthew McConaughey) is a Los Angeles criminal defence attorney who operates out of the back of his Lincoln Continental sedan. Having spent most of his career defending petty gutter-variety criminals, the unexpectedly lands the case of a lifetime: defending a rich Beverly Hills realtor (Ryan Phillippe), who is accused of attempted rape and murder. However, what appears in the beginning to be a straightforward case with a big money pay-off swiftly develops into a deadly match between two masters of manipulation, in Lionsgate and Lakeshore Entertainment’s The Lincoln Lawyer... The Lincoln Lawyer: Original Motion Picture Soundtrack features songs by Ari Hest, Citizen Cope, Erick Sermon featuring Marvin Gaye, and Setty & The Miracle. I'm not usually a fan of "various artists" soundtracks. Mainly because if I like a particular song I can simply download it from iTunes, so having an album full of tracks in different genres usually means there are a handful of songs you love, some you hate and others you like but not enough to play more than a few times. While The Lincoln Lawyer soundtrack release has songs I'm not overly keen on, I have to admit that I rather enjoyed almost all of the tracks here. This is certainly an album for the car this summer. Put the roof down (or open your windows) and play at full blast. Track listing: Ain't No Love In The Heart Of The City - Bobby 'Blue' Bland 7 Darren Rea |
