Disco Love 2 is the second collection of fabulous disco records that features tracks you have probably never heard of. All superb records presented to you by the legendary Al Kent from the unlikeliest disco haven of Glasgow... This is the second volume in the Disco Love collection. Now, while some may argue that obviously all the best tracks are on the first volume, there are so many little known Disco tracks from the '70s that you could probably publish dozens of compilation albums without really being able to produce a definitive collection. Apart from anything else, compilations are subjective - every listener will have their own personal favourite tracks, as well as musical styles. What this album does is try to offer a few different Disco flavours so that there's a little something for everyone. And, for a compilation album, it works. It's doubtful whether you'll have heard the majority of the tracks on this album before, unless you were a regular disco goer in the '70 and really followed the scene. And because of this Disco Love 2 is like a breath of fresh air. All the tracks will have an air of familiarity about them, but they'll all be brand new to you. We received 14 of this album's 16 tracks on the one CD. The two missing tracks include 'Al Kent's Continuous Mix' - which, at over 1 hr, 16 mins, I'm guessing is all of the tracks on this CD mixed into one continuous track. If you're after a '70s disco compilation album of obscure tracks, then you've found it. 8 Nick Smithson Buy this item online |
