Into Bass and Time is the second self-produced album from experimental, hard-driving DJ and producer duo, Ancient Astronauts. Flying high on the success of their debut album, We Are To Answer, Kabanjak and Dogu do not disappoint with their collaborative mix of hip-hop, funky breakbeat and dancehall reggae. Combining Kabanjak’s love of blues with Dogu’s passion for '90s hip-hop funk, Into Bass and Time is a kaleidoscopic journey from the traditional through to the modern... There's some serious diversity here from the cool, laid back 'Peace in the East' to the ragga based 'Give it to You'. Then there's the eerie, yet beautiful 'Rocket Science'. In fact there's so much going on in this album that this threatens to overload your senses. The 15 tracks on this album come in at just shy of an hour's worth of music. Never a dull moment, or a wasted beat, Into Bass and Time is a journey that's worth embarking on. 9 Pete Boomer Buy this item online
