Wim Plug, Mark Kneppers and Oscar De Jong - aka Kraak & Smaak - release their third studio album. Electric Hustle achieves a more electronic sound than their previous two releases, but still has the unmistakable Kraak & Smaak style and moves effortlessly from nu-disco through deep electronic funk to upbeat hand in the air anthems. This album sees Kraak & Smaak's new singer Lex Empress contributing songs alongside the band's MC Sebastian, rising UK bluesman John Turrell and Dutch songstress Janne Schra. The album is just over an hour in length and includes 12 funky tracks. There isn't a bad track here... but if I had to chose my favourites I'd have to go for the funky-as-hell 'Forget About You'; the hip swaying beat of 'Let's Go Back'; the catchy 'Fairy Falling'; and, for its totally chilled out vibe, 'Turrell's Lament'. 8 Nick Smithson Buy this item online
