Set sail on the Black Pearl this summer with Music From and Inspired by the Pirates of the Caribbean Saga EP from BuySoundtrax Records. The recording features the beloved themes from the Disney Land Attraction that spawned the film series and includes music from composers including Hans Zimmer, Klaus Badelt, and original music by Dominik Hauser...

Released to coincide with the latest Pirates of the Caribbean movie, On Stranger Tides, this EP is aimed more at those that may have a casual passing interest in the soundtracks to the movies - or music of a pirate theme.

We start off with Klaus Badelt's action/adventure main theme 'He's a Pirate' from Curse of the Black Pearl. This is followed by Hans Zimmer's more quirky, comedic 'Jack Sparrow's Theme' from Dead Man's Chest.

Next up we have 'Yo Ho, Yo Ho! A Pirate's Life' which is taken from the Disneyland Attraction which was the inspiration for the movie series.

The remaining five tracks are quirky take-them-or-leave-them affairs that conjure up a pirate theme.

Personally, as I own the original movie soundtracks, this EP wouldn't really appeal to me. However, for those that fall in love with the new movie and want something a bit piratey to listen to... well this is a pretty good choice with an interesting collection of themes.
