From the team that brought you Hoodwinked, the retelling of the classic Little Red Riding Hood fable which grossed over $110 million worldwide, comes the follow-up Hoodwinked Too!: Hood Vs. Evil. The sequel catches up with our heroine, Little Red, training with a covert group called the Sisters of the Hood. Finishing her training, Little Red is sent out on her first mission by the returning Nicky Flippers - head of the Happily Ever After Agency - to investigate the disappearance of Hansel and Gretel... Lakeshore Records once again give us two soundtracks for one film. If you are a fan of the orchestrated score then you can buy Murray Gold's music on the Original Motion Picture Score, or for fans of the pop music from the film there's this release that presents 11 of the film's tracks (coming in at just over 27 minutes worth of music). Hayden Panettiere (who Heroes fans will remember for playing Claire Bennet), lends her vocals to two tracks on this album. Her vocals aren't a million miles away from other artists like Miley Cyrus and Avril Lavigne. I had to listen to 'Little Squirrel (Forage For Your Love)' a couple of times to just convince myself that the lyrics "gonna forage for your love" were the correct ones. It did sound an awful lot like "gotta four inch for you, love". And the reworking of 'Kung Fu Fighting' is bound to be a bouncing hit with hyper active kids - thank goodness it only lasts for a minute. There are no surprises here - just a collection of formulaic pop songs which are inoffensive and easy on the ears.
