Mad Styles and Crazy Visions 2 is a collection of house/dance/latin themed tracks compiled and mixed by Louie Vega. The first CD kicks off with 'Day Of The Sunflowers (We March On)' by Basement Jaxx. The track features Yoko Ono and is guaranteed to go around and around your head for days. From here on we are bombarded with wall-to-wall gems from a decade long since lost. For those who lived through the scene then this is a trip down memory lane; for those who didn't, it's a wonderful way to discover the origins of some of the music that's alive and kicking in the clubs today. This compilation has been put together to highlight the fact that the high-energy dance music that graced dance floors throughout the seventies and eighties is very much relevant today. This is a celebration of the great fusion that disco was and still is. With sprinklings of African, Latin, jazz, funk and electro pop rhythms the production today is tighter in some instances but still breathy, sexy, up tempo and ultimately for the sweaty dance floor. It's funky and beautifully mixed - that's all the reason you should need to put on your dancing shoes and boogie the night away. 8 Nick Smithson Buy this item online
