Rainbow Suite is MovieScore Media producer Mikael Carlsson's first album as a composer in his own right and features a selection of concert works.

The main work on this collection is a 30 minute choral suite in six movements which focuses on the colours of the rainbow flag and their meaning. Other material include original settings of sacred texts such as 'O Magnum Mysterium', 'Agnus Dei' and 'Pater Noster'.

While the 'Rainbow' segments of this CD start the album off well, the real gems are to follow.

'Det är Cackrast när det Skymmer' was probably the track on this collection that I enjoyed the most. And the three part 'Svit över Dikter av Edith Södergran' is also incredibly powerful.

This is a beautiful album. For those wanting a modern choral collection this is a must buy.
