Jamie Morgan is born with a disfiguring birthmark across his face which leaves him an outcast in rough East London. While wandering abandoned yards taking photographs, he comes across a gang of thugs and soon discovers that they are something other than human. He then is led into a Faustian deal that will see him become a party to the terrifying chaos around him. Part Donnie Darko, part Guillermo del Toro, this dark urban tale takes its audience to the darkest and most violent corners of the human heart... The soundtrack to Heartless, ironically enough, sounds just that - like there is no heart in it. The 'Main Titles' could have been so much more... in fact the whole score shows promise, but never really delivers. For the most part this is bland, background atmosphere music, which goes nowhere. And when it does start to show promise, for example the tracks 'Magical Tree' and 'So Many Stars', just as it's starting to pick up the pace, it abruptly ends. If bland scores are your thing you've found a winner here. 2 Darren Rea Buy this item online
