Americana - Rock Your Soul contains all the elements of Soul, Funk, Jazz, Rock, country & Disco. This collection contains a number of unearthed gems by artists you'll probably never have heard of before. And, for the most part, that's a crying shame as there are some beautiful tracks reproduced here. I really loved the soulful sound of 1619 Bad Ass Band 'Just For You'. This is a timeless sound that sounds like it should have been a huge hit. Michael Killen's 'A Little More Time' reminded me of the sort of music REO Speedwagon used to put out in the '80s. It's quite an interesting track which sounds okay the first time you listen to it, but grows on you over time. Society Of Seven's 'Between Hello And Goodbye' is a beautiful soulful track that evokes memories of Al Jarreau's Moonlighting theme. Breakaway's 'Who Was It This Time'. It's the sort of track that you'll either love or hate on first listen. But give it time and it starts to become catchy. I wasn't overly impressed with Ian Willson's 'Four In The Morning (Goodking Edit)' but then it's hard to please everyone with every track on these compilations. If you want a laid back nostalgia trip then you could do way worse than this. Track listing: 01 - Babadu - 'I Love Music' 9 Nick Smithson Buy this item online
