Moviescore Media releases the original soundtrack from Julian Gilby’s multiple award-winning action thriller A Lonely Place to Die, starring Melissa George, Ed Speleers and Eamonn Walker. The stirring orchestral score is composed by Michael Richard Plowman and features vocal solos by Scottish singer Sophie Ramsay... Michael Richard Plowman's score for A Lonely Place to Die represents an interesting collection of themes and styles - all in the traditional orchestral style. This album has everything, from the beautifully haunting theme at the core of 'A Lonely Place to Die' and 'Lament' to the action and suspense embedded in 'Boar and the Bullet'. There are beautiful, mellow tracks like 'Anna' and 'Hope' but the majority of the tracks on this album are of the chase/suspense variety. I wasn't overly impressed with the vocal tracks 'The Burning of Achindoun' and 'Little Sadie' that bookend this album, but you can always skip those. This is an interesting, emotive score which includes some impressive themes. For soundtrack buffs, this is certainly worth adding to your collection. 7 Darren Rea Buy this item online
