Composer Steve Jablonsky's epic score for Gears of War 3 consists of 1 hr, 18 min, 41 sec worth of music spread over 31 tracks. The score is an impressive organic and electronic hybrid mix featuring live orchestra and choir performed by the Northwest Sinfonia and mixed by Remote Control Productions.

Jablonsky provides an incredible atmospheric album that works just as well as a standalone score as it does when accompanying the action of the game. Tracks like 'Ashes Fall Down' reminded me, in spirit, of James Horner's score for Aliens.

Fans of the game, as well as soundtrack fans, will find this to be an incredibly powerful score that's well worth adding to their collections.
