The soundtrack to Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine features the original music score from Relic Entertainment's critically acclaimed 3rd person action/shooter published by THQ. In the game you are Captain Titus of the Ultramarines, humanity's last hope for survival in a war-ridden future. Step into the armor of this superhuman warrior and use a lethal combination of deadly weapons to crush overwhelming alien forces. Fight against the savage Orks and the unholy forces of Chaos in a brutally violent world based on one of the most popular science fiction fantasies. When I reviewed the game for Xbox 360 I found it to be a solid enough, if slightly limited, hack and slash game with impressive graphics and engaging game play. Okay, the inability to really explore your environment in the single player game was a little off putting, and the online multiplayer game was a little poorly executed, but on the whole it was a fun game that you could pick up and play without having to think too much about your objectives. The soundtrack, on the other hand, is a pure work of art. There are a whole heap of beautiful themes and set pieces that I just didn't pick up on when I played the game. Over this album's 19 tracks (51 min, 03 sec) there isn't a dull or wasted track. In fact, I couldn't find even a segment of music I thought was even remotely dull. This is an album that every soundtrack lover should have in their collection. It's bold and beautiful and certainly worth investing your time in hunting down. 10 Darren Rea Buy this item online
