'Green Eyed Boy' is the debut single from Cardinal Jack's first album We Shall Start The Dance. The single contains three versions of the track - however we only received the main mix to listen to.

The other two mixes are the 'Mickey 'Magic' Escobar Freestyle Remix' and the 'Mickey 'Magic' Escobar Instrumental'. But as we didn't receive those for review we can't comment on them.

There's a definite '80s vibe here and the band claim that, amongst others, their musical influences include The Smiths and The Police. There's definitely a hint of those two bands music in 'Green Eyed Boy' as well as a sprinkling of The Cure.

On the whole I enjoyed this single. While it's nothing particularly groundbreaking, I would love to hear more of their music - and look forward to their album release.
