Nicolas Errèra's score for Shaolin is a mixed bag of themes and styles. While there's the cliched ethnic sounds designed to transport you to the orient, there are also beautiful themes that work outside of the confines of the movie theatre. The most obvious examples being 'The Little Girl', 'Life Goes On' and 'Encouragements'.

On balance, this is an interesting collection of themes with a heavy influence on the sounds of the orient.
