Kina Grannis, 26-year-old, singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, releases her debut album, Stairwells, through independent record label One Haven Music. This album lasts for 42 min, 39 sec and consists of 13 tracks. The album was originally released in the USA in 2010, self-funded and independently released after she forfeited a major record deal in order to retain creative control of her material. If you haven't heard Grannis's music before then you're in for a treat. This is her fourth album, all self-funded, and showcases her raw talent - she's a young woman who sounds like she's had years more experience than she has. Stairwells represents her first commercial album that's been made available to a wider audience. The interesting thing about Grannis is that, if you like her style, then you'll realise that every track on this album is good enough to be a single in its right - they're all, to some degree or another, catchy tunes that rattle around in your head for days to come. 8 Nick Smithson Buy this item online
