Will, Simon, Jay and Neil have finished their A-levels and are about to leave Rudge Park Comprehensive, much to the relief of Mr. Gilbert, their sarcastic, cynical sixth form tutor. As one last mad fling before they all go their separate ways the four book a lads weekend to Malia, Crete... It's a great British tradition that whenever a TV show makes the transition to the big screen that the characters are transported somewhere foreign in a holiday setting. It's something we've being doing for decades and with the introduction of this movie it's suddenly become obvious how painfully limited the idea has always been. The film never reaches the hilarity or wit that was evident in the TV show. As a consequence it won't be a surprise to learn that the soundtrack to The Inbetweeners Movie is full of music that you'd expect to be playing in foreign clubs and bars where all of the patrons are British. The soundtrack is only really going to appeal to those that enjoyed the film or want a rather disjointed collection of club tracks to add to their music library. Woven in between the songs are a collection of quotes from the movie - none of which are particularly laugh out loud funny. Personally, this isn't an album I'll be rushing to listen to again. I can't remember most of the tracks appearing in the movie, so they were hardly that memorable to begin with, and the only tracks that really stood out were 'Waving not Drowning', 'We No Speak Americano' and 'Blow - Cirkut Remix'. 4 Darren Rea Buy this item online
