Music from the Twilight Saga for Chamber Orchestra is a rather odd release from Buysoundtrax Records. I say odd, because most people who are fans of the music for these movies will already have purchased the original music. So who this is aimed at is a bit of a mystery.

I suppose that this is one of those gift idea releases which you only ever get given as a present by someone who doesn't know what to buy for you, but knows you're a huge Twilight fan.

If you already own the original releases there's very little point in picking this up - or so you'd think. But the arrangements are just different enough to make it worth your while splashing out a little extra to hear these new arrangements.

Additionally, if you're a fan of soundtracks and want a compilation album that features some beautiful music by Carter Burwell, Alexandre Desplat and Howard Shore then this is well worth getting hold of.
