Desmond has joined the ranks of the Assassins. Now at their side, Desmond is plunged headfirst on a quest for a mysterious artefact of formidable power. But in order to find it, he must relive the past of his Roman ancestor, Aquilus. Pursued by the Templars and confronted by betrayal in his own camp, Desmond will discover that throwing himself into the past will come at a price greater than he could have imagined... Aquilus is the second volume in the Assassin's Creed mini series. The action follows on where volume 1 left off. This time around Desmond has to travel back in time and inhabit the live of a past roman ancestor, Aquilus, in order to track down a long lost artefact. If I had one complaint it was the fact that this graphic novel seems incredibly over priced. At 48 pages in length, I couldn't understand why all three volumes hadn't been collected under one cover rather than try to wring as much money out of fans as possible. Still, this is a lovingly put together collection that fans of the video game will enjoy. 7 Darren Rea |
