Sometimes, it takes a thief to catch one, and even in the criminal fraternity the Robin Hood gene still exists. Hustle is a comedy thriller show which revolves around a group of elite con artists, who specialise in the long con, complex set ups which end up with the bad guy loosing a shed load of money.

Created by Tony Jordan, the show began in 2004 and continues to move from strength to strength. Each of the episodes, which lasts a little under an hour, tells the story of the group’s latest conquest against some other crook, not that the enterprise is wholly altruistic as they normally end up with a healthy profit.

Although the basic structure of each show is the same, this should not be construed as a complaint, the writing is clever and witty, and the chemistry between the characters makes the experience of watching, light and enjoyable.

Each of the characters has their own speciality. Albert Stroller (Robert Vaughn) is the one to highlight potential marks, Ash Morgan (Robert Glenister) is the one who procures what the team need, anything from fake jewellery to guns and tanks. The brains of the group are Mickey Stone (Adrian Lester), with Emma Kennedy (Kelly Adams) providing feminine input as requires. The last member of the current gang has only been in about half the episodes with Matt Di Angelo playing Sean Kennedy, Kelly brother. Not exactly a member of the gang, Rob Jarvis has appeared in almost every episode as Eddie, the owner of the bar which the gang use as a base.

Season Seven originally broadcast in 2001, consisting of six episodes, split across two discs. Disc one contains As Good as it Gets, Old Sparks Come New and Clearance From A Deal. Disc Two has the remaining three with Benny's Funeral, The Fall of Railton FC and The Delivery.

The DVD is presented with a full frame aspect ratio of 16:9, and a two channel stereo audio track. Apart for subtitles, there are no extras.
