David Holmes's score for Steven Soderbergh's action-thriller Haywire is an acquired taste. It's a jazz-infused score that won't be to everyone's liking. It's funky and interesting, and sounds like a modern version of those trippy Blacksploitation scores of the '70s. In fact there's a distinct '70s vibe here. The album's opening track 'Haywire' sounds like the theme tune to a cheesy '70s cop buddy TV show. There are 18 tracks on this album, representing a total of 35 min, 30 sec of music. While personally this soundtrack did nothing for me, I'm sure fans of the film will love it. 5 Darren Rea Buy this item online
