Based on the epic graphic novel by John Bergin, From Inside is the story of Cee, a young pregnant woman who finds herself on a damaged train slowly transcribing its way across a bleak post-apocalyptic landscape. Flood, war, starvation and a plague of death threaten the train’s passengers. Cee struggles through these dangers while coping with the memory of her lost husband and the imminent birth of her child... Sadly, the score for From Inside is merely a collection of rather dull atmospheric pieces that did nothing for me. While I'm sure that as an accompaniment to the movie it adds much, when listened to in isolation it just feels flat and lifeless. The album consists of 21 tracks, coming in at 1 hr, 01 min, 52 sec. I'm afraid I couldn't find anything on here (not even a small segment) that would make me want to listen to the album again, let alone recommend anyone purchase it. 2 Darren Rea |
