Following the release of her debut single, 'Let the Game Begin', soul and jazz influence Helena Jesele's second single, 'Sun is Rising', aims to catch that summer feeling that sadly passed us by this year (2012) thanks to the fact it's done nothing but rain for those precious summer months. How apt that this single is released on one of the few weeks where we've had sun in the UK. "Now the sun is rising, I can see what I've missed" may not have been written so tongue in cheek, but it works wonderfully that way. The single has a feel of Phil Collin's 'Two Hearts' feel about it, which itself had a vintage '60s tinge. This single has a 'b' side, 'Breathe in Love (Alternative Mix)', but as that wasn't include on our review disc I can't comment on it. For those wanting to catch a bit of summer atmosphere, then this should perk you up a little. 7 Nick Smithson |
