The soundtrack to UK zombie comedy Cockneys vs Zombies features a stylistic mix of wild music for orchestra and choir (The Latvian Zombie Chorus), electric guitars, Zimmer-esque heroism, blues and classic zombie soundtracks, the score has a wonderful tongue-in-cheek seriousness that makes the album listening experience a hilarious experience... Jody Jenkins's score for Cockney's vs Zombies combines a classical orchestral score with a more modern sounds. The end result is a album that, at times, can be quite amusing and at others incredibly beautiful. There are moments peppered throughout this score where Jenkins pays homage to the Western genre. And there are also numerous Hans Zimmer-esque moments (most notably from his and Lorne Balfe's work on Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2). The album opens with 'Heroes' which is an interesting take on a superhero style theme; 'Main Theme' is a rock musical anthem complete with a wild guitar solo; ''Zombies Take London' opens with an interesting chase sequence before transforming into an interesting suspense track; and 'The Empty Streets of London' is a haunting an beautiful atmospheric track which houses a number of interesting themes. The album lasts for 50 min, 15 sec and contains 14 tracks. 7 Darren Rea Buy this item online
