Lorne Balfe's score for Assassin's Creed III builds on his work for Assassin's Creed Revelations. Not only does it help to heighten the atmosphere and excitement of the game, but it also works as a beautiful standalone album in its own right.

Highlights include 'Welcome to Boston' (which reminded me of the TV theme for Wycliffe); 'A Bitter Truth'; the adrenaline charged 'Through the Frontier'; and the beautiful 'Speck of Dust'.

The album contains 25 tracks and lasts for 1 hr, 03 min, 41 sec). It's another winner of a collection from Balfe, who has been a favourite composer of mine since he scored Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II.
