Venture into Yoda's galaxy and uncover the truth behind one of the greatest Jedi masters ever known. This book features themed spreads based on the legendary Yoda's adventures from his leadership of the Jedi council and his duels with Count Dooku and Darth Sidious, to his support of the Wookies in the Clone Wars and his training of Luke on Dagobah. Specially commissioned photography features minifigures and vehicles in action, with interesting storylines and facts... and an exclusive LEGO Star Wars action figure... DK's LEGO Star Wars: The Yoda Chronicles features 63 pages of facts and photography of some of the LEGO Star Wars kits available. From that point of view you could argue that this is basically just a sales catalogue. But, it also includes a DK-exclusive Special Forces Clone Trooper LEGO minifigure, which is a variation of the new minifigures created especially for the LEGO Star Wars: Yoda Chronicles toy line. What's great about the photos in this book is that there's very little gloss used when taking the pictures (other than adding the odd glowing lightsaber). The background buildings and general settings could have just as easily been photographed in any fan's bedroom. That alone should inspire children to create new and interesting sets based on what they see in this book. Unique characteristics of the minifigure include officer level classification, newly created blue force shield, and special helmet and chest plate symbol. If I had one complaint it's that the packaging that houses the minifigure actually makes the book appear as though it's four times thicker than it actually is, but then it guarantees that you're figure will get to you in one piece (well, four pieces to be exact). Still, £15 isn't too much to ask for an entertaining book with an exclusive minifigure thrown into the bargain. 8 Darren Rea Buy this item online
