Swedish indie rockers I Used to be a Sparrow exported their brand of music around the world with their debut album, Luke. One year later they are ready to pick up from where they left off with their sophomore You are an Empty Artist. The duo of Dick Pettersson and Andrea Caccese created an act that embodies a compromise between the urgency of a garage band and the impact of epic indie rock slicing in, electronica and pop... Blending influences as diverse as pop, alternative rock and electro-folk I Used to be a Sparrow produce a sound that is difficult not to instantly sit up and take notice of. The due bring a unique sound to the marketplace, but if I were being lazy, I'd say that tracks like 'Blindfolded' have a ring of Eels about them. I Used to be a Sparrow are a welcome breath of fresh air and You are an Empty Artist should become an instant success. The album contains 11 tracks and lasts for 36 min, 56 sec. 8 Nick Smithson |
