Sony Music's new compilation album features some of the most recognisable tracks from TV adverts. This 2-CD collection features the tracks that are gripping the nation as part of the soundtrack to our lives.
The Very Best of TV Ad Songs contains 40 tracks and lasts for 2 hr, 14 min, 45 sec. It collects together some of the most notable TV Ad songs that have been aired recently, like Fleetwood Mac’s 'Everywhere' which was used for Three Mobile’s latest advert, and saw the single (which originally reached #4 in the UK charts in 1988) shoot back to #15 in March 2013.
Not all of the tracks are performed by the original artists, quite a few are covers, most notably four of the featured tracks were specially commissioned covers for John Lewis’s ad campaigns: Paloma Faith’s 'Never Tear Us Apart'; Fyfe Dangerfield’s 'She’s Always A Woman'; Ellie Goulding’s 2012 hit version of Elton John’s 'Your Song'; and the beautifully unusual cover of The Smith’s 'Please, Please, Please, Let Me Get What I Want' by Slow Moving Mille.
From Boston’s 'More Than A Feeling' for Barclaycard and Baccara’s 'Yes Sir, I Can Boogie' for British Airways to Primal Scream’s 'Movin’ On Up' for Kellogg’s Cornflakes and Lana Del Rey’s cover of 'Blue Velvet' for H&M, The Very Best of TV Ad Songs is a compilation album that will appeal to everyone.
