Sparks fly when Wade Walker crashes the preppy Peeples annual reunion in the Hamptons to ask for their precious daughter Grace’s hand in marriage. Wade might be a fish-out-of-water among this seemingly perfect East Coast clan, but he’s not about to let himself flounder. This short album features six tracks, including three new songs by Grammy and Tony nominated songwriter/producer Stephen Bray with performances by the film’s Craig Robinson and David Alan Grier along with original music by Aaron Zigman (Sex and the City, The Notebook).

Bray has written and produced many of Madonna’s top ten recordings, including 'Angel', 'Into the Groove', 'Poppa Don’t Preach' and 'Express Yourself'. Bray composed songs for various multi-platinum artists including the Jets, Gladys Knight and Kylie Minogue. His co-composing work on the Broadway musical, The Color Purple, earned him both a Tony (2006) and Grammy (2007) nomination. Bray’s film credits include songwriter/producer for Beverly Hills Cop II and score composer for Who’s That Girl.

This isn't usually the sort of album I'm a fan of, but the comedic lyrics in 'Speak it' and the catchy gospel-esque music make for a worthwhile listening experience. In addition, Bray's score has a retro feel that has a charm of its own. Whether or not you'll return to it after a few months is doubtful, but it's still an interesting mini score.
